Afterhours 2009 is over now and most of us are still in some sort of recovery mode. Well… those of us who planned it are anyway. If anything, this was the best Afterhours to date even though we were plagues with a myriad of technical problems, canceled flights and lost CDs of all things.
This year though, we bring you a first. For the first time ever, all of the DJ sets were recorded and all of them are being posted here for your enjoyment. We will release a new night each week until we are done starting right now. Each set is a self-contained podcast for easy download. In all, we’re giving you almost 20 hours of audio bliss. First up on the podcasts is Deeflash. Download now.
Deeflash opened Afterhours 2008 last year an “resumed the position” again for this year’s show. Here’s a bit about him:
Chris Reiche (aka deeflash) is a music producer/DJ from Fishkill, NY. 4 years ago Chris took his top passions (Christ, music and electronics) and fused them together - knowing the results would be something NY had never heard before. He is regionally known for DJing at youth groups, concerts, cafes and clubs, and annually DJing alongside internationally-known artists at Cornerstone Festival in Illinois. In the studio, Chris produces dance and electronica music and has just released his first EP. With his main focus on being led by the spirit, Chris is well known for his ability to create atmospheres and work with crowds. His vision is to bring the message of Christ through music and close relationships to everyone he meets along the way.
