
This month’s edition of Homegrown I am honored to introduce DJ G. While he is certainly not an up and coming artist you may have not heard of him for he hails from sunny England. DJ G has a podcast called ‘Off the Cuff’. If you have not listened in, I highly recommend doing so for some proper House appreciation. Here are some interesting facts about DJ G written below.
DJ G has played at both small and large venues with audiences of all ages. He provides music for funerals right through to raising money for various charities. One of which was a children’s charity where he played for 24 hours in 2003. In 2006 he played at both the Reading and Oxford Carnivals with crowds of over 55,000 people.
DJ G is also on air with ‘The Urban Gospel Experience’ on Sunday nights from 7 pm, if you want to hear more tune in to 95.2 FM or online www.bbc.co.uk/oxford Also, DJ G recently did JAM FOR JAPAN, HELPING HAND FOR NEW ZEALAND 24 Hours Nonstop DJ set.
Who is DJ G?
He is a DJ in the UK who is passionate about gospel music in all its styles. He believes that gospel music is more than just for the Church but for all the people to hear. DJ G is now embarking on doing assemblies in schools and taking the message in the music to get his point across to the audience. DJ G teaches DJ Skills at a variety of schools around Oxfordshire and Berkshire to a range of age groups and children with disabilities.
