Cornerstone 2007 Tastyfresh Sound System Demo Submissions
Background
The Dance Club or Dance Barn, as it is more affectionately know by the festival goers, has become the premier gathering site for Christian EDM lovers from around the world for many years now. That doesn’t make it the best show in the world, but it is a place where people gather to meet one another, share their hearts, their minds, their souls and occasionally food while dropping some of today’s hottest dance tracks.
Cornerstone is primarily a Christian rock festival that grew out of the Jesus People USA group in the 1980’s. The festival draws around 20,000 people annually to the small town of Bushnell, Il. Of those, roughly 300-400 will pass through the Barn each night for four nights. In the past, music labels have run the stage. More recently however, the stage has been slowly shifting management to be run by the Christian EDM community at large. This year, Tastyfresh.com, the central site for Christian EDM, will run Cornerstone’s Dance Club. Helping out Tastyfresh.com will be the BTU Live.com crew. The knowledge, experience and passion of this combination should take the stage to new heights.
In addition to the Barn, Tastyfresh.com will also be running what is known as a generator stage during the afternoons. The stage will be manage by Jeremy Kadinger and will be located in a prime spot to help promote the nightly events. Having booked the Barn, we are now ready to start booking the generator stage.
Things you should know
We are now accepting demos for the Tastyfresh Sound System stage at Cornerstone 2007. The festival in total runs from June 25th – June 30th. The Tastyfresh Sound System stage will run June 26th – June 29th. The slots you will be competing for will be from June 26th – June 29th.
You should also know that since Tastyfresh Sound System stage is an unofficial stage, like all of the generator stages, there will be no compensation if you are selected for this stage. This means that you will have to purchase a festival ticket at regular price, pay for your traveling expenses and even your hotel room. For many of you, we know this will not be a problem, as you would attend regardless, but for those of you new to this festival this is something to consider. We wish that we could offer compensation, but given the huge budget constraints, it just isn’t possible.
