This release is the latest release from the group that brought us the brilliant Lean On Me track that was remixed by Solarstone a couple of years back. This album is different as it taps into a more Dub sound and is experimental in nature. Well programmed and well written music that is great to listen to may never make dance floor status as it is better suited to a Lounge night than House or any other style.

The first track Stampede is nice and dubby with some interesting effects and samples. As The Day Goes By is the following track and is fairly solid but lacks vocal depth. Ten Tons Of Dope is a real knob-twister for me as anything glorifying that lifestyle makes me angry. Good production and vocals but just the wrong genre for my liking. The best track is a fairly trip-hop number featuring Taz Alexander on the mic. The lyrics could be more interesting but the song moves more than the rest and is fairly suitable for the turntables at a Down-Tempo night if the feeling’s right.

There are a few other listenable tracks Poems, London Fields, Burning Bright, & Razz but overall this album as a whole is a bit lacking in musical brilliance so I score it 6.5 out of a possible 10. It’s above average, but just barely. I hope that the duo will continue to create and tour and I hope to hear more from them in the future. Aloha …
