Dunamis' Take:

Ofer Dikovsky (aka, Oforia) is one of Israel's longest standing psy-trance artists. He has been active in the trance scene since its early days and is among those responsible for the new vibe of dance. On his latest release, Arcadia – The Remixes, you can expect remixes from G.M.S. Infected Mushroom, Talamasca, Timelock, Atomic Pulse, Fatali, and more. A bonus EP will be added, containing remixes and video clip for "Return Of The Machines".

First track, "Arcadia (Oforia Rmx)", starts this album off nicely. With a breaks style intro, it soon transforms into a hard-driving trance beat. There's plenty of energy and catchy melodies coming from this track. Carrying a similar rhythm, I liked the nice melodies, arps, and distorted guitar riffs of "Spiders (Atomic Pulse Rmx)." Another track to point out is "Northern Lights (G.M.S. Rmx)", which also is a good, driving track with a pretty catchy bassline, guitar riffs, and nice effects. The Infected Mushroom remix of "Millions of Miles Away" is a nice track to top off the driving psy-tance that this release brought.

Overall, this is a very good release; however, I would have liked to have seen more variation in the beats and basslines since most songs shared similarities. One good thing about the release though is the nice use of space, effects, melodies, and guitars. Good job on this.

If you liked Timelock's "Prototype 0.1" album that I reviewed recently, then you will need to check this release as well. Some more good psy-trance out of Israel.
