Chris' Take:

Note: When I was locating this track online in case there are any potential takers, I could not find it with the label information I was given. Since my ability to Google is superb, I found this release with 4 extra tracks that I was not given for review. Good for you! Since I was only given two of the six tracks in the actual release, I will only review those two and quickly comment on the rest I found.

This is a very fun release for me. It kicks off with the "Twocker = Will Bailey & Calvertron Remix", which comes off as more progressive house than the electro label it was given. Sure, it has some electro elements to it, but ultimately, when everything gets churning and burning in this track, it really is more progressive than electro. Anyway, it is still a very nice and fun track. It has some crisp claps in it with some slight delay on them that kinda emulates vinyl pops. I don't know if that was intentional, but it still sounds very cool. At the 3-minute mark, the breakdown comes in, and you will see exactly what I mean. This track has a lot of proggy house influence for an electro track. The track itself kinda chugs along a bit slower than I am used to, or maybe the overall vibe makes it feel slower. That does not take away from how cool it is; I'll just pitch it up a few notches, thats all.

The next remix that I was given to review is "Ed Kane's Cheap Wonk Remix", which definitely is electro. It starts off with this deep banging kick drum and glitchy sounds that take you right in and gets the head bobbin'. Then, the bassline is teasingly introduced to us with a swooshing, sweeping, spiraling soundscape behind it. Finally, you get to feel the entire depth of the bassline, which just grabs you right in and shakes you all about. A little bit later, you get more of that swooshing action with a breakdown, and then it's right back into that funk filled deep bass action. This track has no mercy for the people on the dance floor. It can attack, and it will.

Although I was not give the rest of the remixes for review, I will touch on them really quickly based on the samples available on the website URL I provided. The original is definitely a proggy house track, no doubt about it. It's very nice, melodic, and "chordy" sounding. The IAMAMF remix has a minimal, kind of weird vibe. You have to hear it to get what I mean. The Romantic Torture Remix is a very loud and melodic remix. It sounds like it could be a load of fun to dance to. Finally, the Semi D Remix brings us back to an electro feel. This also sounds like a lot of fun.

I love this release. It is a lot of fun to listen to and should have no problems keeping any party going.
