Carl’s Take:

First off, this is my second review for Botchit, and I'm loving what they are putting out there to the world.

What can I say about the original mix? Wow! It has funky breaks, a fantastic beat, and an awesome bassline. The vocal samples compliment it so well, and there is even scratching in there. It has it all. The production is at the level that I am coming to expect from Botchit. There is nothing out of place with this track. Everything fits into its spot, and I never lost interest at any stage. Even if side AA wasn’t up to scratch, I would buy the vinyl for this track alone. But side AA is just as good.

Side AA—the Superstyle Deluxe remix—is funky. It's got amazing beats and fills, and the bassline cuts through with a more electro feel. Guitar licks, one-shot samples, and vox stabs just set it off. Once again, the production is top-notch, and the arrangement is so nice. The remix definitely has more edge in the sense of a gritty sound compared to the original. I look forward to spinning this one.

Overall, I really got into this release. It was right up my alley. It's on vinyl and is worth buying, for all you funk breaks fans out there.
