Hour 1: Joost Dekker(www.soothingsoundsystem.com)

Joost Dekker Joost Dekker's musical taste is very broad and that makes his DJ sets very diverse. He can play deep and jazzy beats but also he can play a grooving house set.

In the seven years that he has been DJ-ing so far, Joost has always been out there to spin for people. In the early days he started of playing to his friends in their local hang-out. Later on he played at festivals like Flevo and SoulSurvivor in Holland. In 2002 he moved to Manchester to improve his DJ-ing skills and attended the School of Sound Recording, where he finished the DJ and Music Production Course. In England he continued playing out and connected with other Djs.

When he moved back to his home country in 2004 he soon hooked up with DJ Spritl. They started spinning together which resulted in a monthly night in artcafe Dwaze Zaken in Amsterdam. Recently they have also been involved in setting up a regular night in DJ TWSTD in Amsterdam, House A Rest. The DJ team Spritl-Joost usually operates as The Soothing Soundsystem.

Besides his activities with The Soothing Soundsystem, Joost also plays solo gigs. This summer he was a resident at a beachclub and he also played at several other parties. For TastyFresh he has made a house mix, with an introvert edge.

Hour 2: Ethan Bliss (www.myspace.com/ethanbliss)

Ethan Bliss From a young age, Ethan Bliss has had a strong interest in both music and technology. Raised in a musical family, he took piano lessons, played in the school band, and studied music theory as well, but it wasn't until entering college that he truly discovered electronic dance music and the art of the DJ. Since then he has been developing his ear for what makes gives a track both groove and musical interest and developing his mixing skills to keep the beat going.

Ethan Bliss spins a range of house, progressive, and breaks to keep the vibe interesting and the dancefloor moving. In addition to having hosted a weekly radio show on the Wildcat 91.9FM in Manhattan, Kansas, and maintained a weekly/bi-weekly residency at PJ's Pub also in Manhattan, he has played out around Kansas and the midwest alongside such acts as Kid Icarus, Kenny Mitchell, Faith Massive, and DJ Dvyne, at such venues as Chakra in Kansas City; Rhythm at The Bricktop in Lincoln, NE; Ultraviolet at Abe & Jake's in Lawrence, KS; Cornerstone Festival in (near) Bushnell, IL; and more.
