Digital Aura's Take:

The Brazilian duo, Major Pax, is back at it again, only this time they aren't just raising the bar...they're "Raising Faith".  Ok...so if you, like me, are wondering about the syntax of this EP ("raising" vs. "rising"), let's just assume that something got lost in translation there. Fortunately, nothing in this excellent release is remotely hindered by the spelling. The EP includes the original track by Major Pax and 4 additional remixes by some of our best loved producers including Coretex, Quillroader, and Tresice. (A stellar remix by label owner Andy T doesn't appear at Beatport among the others. Andy will be giving his remix away.) Each remix brings its own distinct style into this release. Coretex's remix is trance, Quillroader brings the breakbeat, Another Life's mix is all about drum'n'bass, etc.

The recipe for success here is definitely the supreme melodic content heard in the original track, which styles itself after progressive trance. Each remixer pays homage to the slick hook of the original by incorporating it into their unique style. There is a lovely female vocal motif in the original that makes its way into every remix. The tracks migrate nicely from mp3 onto CD without any noticeable loss in the mix, which is above par. This single made a huge impact on me, and I highly recommend it! Major Pax has major talent!
