Digital Aura's Take:

Here comes a stunning double header from Ikronix distributed through the online label, DeepLife Records. This EP contains the two tracks, "Shade" and "The Warming Trend", which together weigh in at almost 17 minutes. But these tracks aren't hefty because of the duration, they are laden with skilled production, rich in charisma and heavy in musical content!

"Shade" is a massive trance piece that, from the outset, captivates the listener with a smooth groove, delightful arps and gates, and lush pads that transport you to audio heaven! The initial groove builds nicely into an epic hook that only actually appears halfway through this track. It is an amazing track even before he hits you with the real sugar 5 minutes in. After a spectacular break, a powerful lead synth cuts through and delivers a powerful melodic hook, guaranteeing you'll have this on repeat for awhile!

The title track, "The Warming Trend", could have been more aptly titled "The Heat Wave" because this track is on fire! In fine form, this number brings some of that big trance sound right off the top and intermingles those wicked sawtooth hits with some outstanding chimey, organic patterns. It's truly a treat for the sonic palate, and after hearing the first track you can be sure that Ikronix knows how to deliver a hook you won't soon forget. True to his style, this one also slams the listener with a meaty melodic hook halfway through, and by the end of this EP you're scrambling to burn these tracks to CD so that you can take them with you to work!

Recommend it? Heck, I insist you get these!
