Chris' Take:

Released March 7, 2007, Drew brings us a very uplifting trance release. Included in the release are three remixes by Drew's labelmates: Clank, Major Pax, and Teletrek. Drew's original track gives us some of the great uplifting trance that Drew has become known for. Clank's track is more of a techy breaks track that brings back the lead synth on top of a big beat style breakbeat. Teletrek comes with a more downtempo style breakbeat track that just puts you in a sweet chill mood. Major Pax's track is a more emotional trance track with well-done breakdowns and buildups.

Production Quality: 7.8

Every track is well produced with a very clean professional sound. Drew's use of multiple synths sounds great without clashing with each other.

Programming and Arrangement: 7.7

Every track is well arranged and DJ-friendly. They would fit great in any DJ set. Their styles are varied enough that you could use any of them in a set depending on the mood.

Entertainment Quality: 8.0

I found every track very entertaining, and each remix is diverse enough to keep you entertained without feeling like you just listened to the same song four times.

Summary:

This is a release that DJs and lovers of dance music will both appreciate. Drew is very talented, and it shines in his track. Major Pax have a style all to their own, so while they went with a trance style remix, it sounds like a whole new track. Clank's breaks would pound on a dance floor. Teletrek finish off the release with a smooth downtempo breaks track that would go great in a lounge atmosphere or just a moment when the dance floor needs time to breathe. I recommend this release to dancers and DJs.
