Here it is, the fourth and final release of the Osmotic compilation series from Lowroof/Deepsink Records. Osmotic Fusion is musically a bit harder edged—with mixtures of trance, progressive, and techno—compared to its three predecessors.

The first thing I noticed is that it’s little slow at getting off its feet. It’s not until "Solaris" and "Thunder Bass" that I'm nodding my head and getting into the groove. With their heavy basslines and high energy synths, those definitely are two of my favorites on this compilation. Another favorite to mention is "Santiago", which is just an overall good song, overall chilled and then nice synth work is brought in. The highlight of "Sound of Egypt" is the electric guitar lead in the middle of the song, definitely not found too much in trance/techno, but a great addition to the mix and well done at that. "Windchimes" has a nice chilled, groovy feel that just ramps down to take a break from previous tracks right before the techno tracks come in.

This one had great tracks, but some also sounded dated to me comparing them to the current trance scene. Some of the choices of synth sounds and structures were not up to current trance. However, some did do well on their atmospheres, and some had good driving beats. I also liked some of the vocal takes like on "The Call."

Overall, Osmotic Fusion is a good album; I like it as much as Osmotic Pressure. The entire Osmotic series is a compilation of the top producers of this genre in the Christian EDM scene. Definitely check out the Osmotic series from Lowroof/Deepsink if you like trance and are new to the Christian EDM scene.

I can't wait to see what compilation series Lowroof/Deepsink will put out next.
