Chris' Take:

This release contains six remixes of U-Ness' "Soulmate". The tracks are all in the house genre, but their styles still range from electro house to progressive house, and the release finishes up with a tech house track.

Production Quality: 9.4

Every track on this release brings something different to the plate. D'gey Jade gives us an electro house sound with highly effective buildups and breaks and a grooving dirty bassline. Djamel has chopped up some of the guitar riffs and vocals and pulls off a very smooth mix that has a nice progressive sound. Hatstandy Andy's remix takes a whole other approach and throws in synths, percussions, glitchy vocals, and a deep bass line that equates to a really fun dance-able full-sounding mix.

Jedset's "Soulsearcher" mix takes a Rhodes loop and puts a synth on top of it. The whole track just makes you want to move. Melchyor A takes a more classic approach and gives us a nice smooth house track with a very laid back sound. And to finish off the release with have the Sleazy McQueen remix, which is a track full of tech house goodness. We're given a full taste of beeps and glitchy computerized sounds while still getting a nice quality deep sound that would fit well in any tech set.

Every track on this release sounds really great. All of the elements blend well together, and there is no clashing. The sounds are very fresh sounding and keep you listening.

Programming and Arrangement: 8.0

The programming and arrangement is all very DJ-friendly, but that does not make it boring. Hatstandy Andy's track in particular kept me anxious for the next change, and D'gey Jade's buildups and breaks keep you interested through out the track.

Entertainment Quality: 8.3

The overall release has enough variety to keep you interested to check out each remix, and many DJs will find it a great release to have because you can fit one of the tracks in your mix no matter what the atmosphere.
