The Vitals:Label: Fat! Records Factor Scores:Production Quality: 7.5 Dunamis' Take:"Take You Back" is the first track up on this release. First off, the song has very good vibe to it, and I like the atmosphere it produces. It has a good range of sounds and good quality in the production. I really liked the bass sound, and some of the atmospheric sounds were cool. Now for the stuff that needed improvement, first this gets somewhat monotonous. The song needs a little more pizzazz to it to make it more interesting. I felt the kick could use some more bass in the final mixdown of that track. Overall, it’s a good, funky track; I just felt there could be more to it to make it better. The second track on the release is "Pirate Signal." Again, I like the funky groove these songs have produced. This one has a slightly higher entertainment quality than the other. However, I also felt it got somewhat monotonous. I felt it was left on loop and there really were no major changes to it. It could have used some changing up. It had some cool atmospheres and vocals to it that were good. All in all, both tracks were good, but I felt they could use some improvement to be much better tracks. |
