The Vitals:Label: Fat! Records Factor Scores:Production Quality: 7.6 Dunamis' Take:First track up on this release is "Recognize" the original mix. First thing that stands out on this track is the funky bassline. I like it and the edits that they used. Another track with a good vibe, this is a good dancefloor track. One thing I found wrong is that I cannot decypher what the vocal track is saying. Another thing that keeps it from getting a good score is how this track tends to get somewhat bland by the middle; there’s not much interesting going to keep my attention. Nice funky track that just needs more attention. The second track on the release is a remix of the original called "Recognize (Vandal Remix)". This is the track I like the most out of the two. It kicks the drums up more, and the bass has a really good groove to it. The bass really keeps a good vibe to the song and keeps it moving along. I felt the vocal could of been left out of this one and replaced with some type of turntable sample or a more audible vocal sound. The remix was a much stronger version than the original but still could use an extra umph to take it to the next level to make it a superb track. Definitely a track going in the collection. |
