The Vitals:Label: Queep Organic House Factor Scores:Production Quality: 8.0 Du Nord's Take:This remix EP really was a tough sell for me. I felt the quality of the remixes was good, but I think I'm tired of Eighties remixes in general. "Rapture" is an excellent song, but I've heard it way too many times already. True, the remixers did great work in improving on the original, but ultimately I think we need to leave this genre behind and move forward. All the remixes maintained a quality standard, so it's hard to pick out which ones are best, but I think my favorite is the "Discount Rhino's Mix". There's just something about it that captures my attention. Very nice. All in all, I feel this batch of remixes may do well in certain sectors of the club world, but I do believe it's time for change. Thank you, Timmy & Tommy, and I'd like to hear some original work in the future. |
