The Vitals:Label: Oxalis Records Factor Scores:Production Quality: 7.5 Dunamis' Take:First, if there was a genre for this release, I would put it in vocal drum n bass. This is a 3-track EP, with radio and extended mixes of the title track "Elation" and another track called "Superconscious". The production quality is very good, compares on level with already released music on bigger labels, very well done. The vocals were well done and with nice effects on them, as well. For programming and arrangement, they were done well but felt like they could be more present and stronger, so I would say the rhythm section could have been mastered and mixed a little stronger. Most of these issues are more geared towards "Elation", while "Superconscious" was done fairly well. For entertainment quality, even though it didn't get as high marks as the other track on the EP, I liked "Elation" and am definitely considering it in future mixes. So overall, good vocals, good drum n bass, and definitely worth checking out. I hope to see more out of this artist soon. |
