The Vitals:Label: Spiritually Minded Factor Scores:Production Quality: 6.5 Dunamis' take:First off, I would like to give great marks but, at the same time, point a few things out and help a brother in Christ. This was a good album for the liquid drum n bass/trip-hop crowd, but I felt it lacked in quality as far as sound and production. For a freshman/sophomore, this was done well and good starter quality, but it still lacks in this department from a producer's standpoint. Some of the top tracks of the album would be "Spiritually minded," Beautiful," "Life," and "Faith." Overall playability of this album is good, and I enjoyed several tracks. From a DJ's standpoint, the tracks are the same picks. I'll definitely be adding "Beautiful" and "Life" to my track library. I just felt, as a DJ and producer, this album could have been taken another step up in quality and arrangement. This album starts out as jazzy, liquid type drum n bass, evolves into trip-hop, and ends with the more edgy drum n bass tracks, so if these are some styles you like, definitely give it a listen. |
