Boy dreams of making a record.  Boy pursues the record label. Label refuses, boy persists… boy's dream comes true. The End. Now that is the kind of Hollywood epic that makes for a good movie! It also happens to be the story behind Scott Zeilenga. In 1996, as a naïve high-school graduate, Scott emailed N*Soul and pleaded with the company's founder, Scott Blackwell, to help him produce and release "Christian techno". After receiving some good, yet curt, advise from him, Zeilenga bought some used equipment and began to learn how to create "techno". His natural talent and childhood piano lessons made him a quick study. His drum 'n bass track "The Book" was later picked up by N*Soul Records for the Eclectica 2 compilation in 1998 and the rest, as they say, is history.

Initially producing drum 'n bass under the alias Inner Seven, Scott has evolved into a more pensive, reflective artist choosing to write downbeat, chill, and ambient works under the name s.zeilenga. Perhaps this has something to do with his capacity as a deep thinker and writer—a modern musical philosopher musing about the beauty and mystery of God's grand design. Maybe it's just the small-town upbringing he had in Sioux Center, Iowa. In any case, s.zeilenga has gained growing acclaim in the Christian and secular electronica community since his early beginnings.

In 2005, he released an epic, minimalistic 7-track CD called Of Beauty & Mystery (Cardamar Music, 2005) exploring the grace of God and His goodness through lush, soothing vocals and dense atmospheres of rhythm and musical themes. Scott currently resides in Woonsocket, RI where he continues advancing his own music and his role in the scene. He plans on launching his own record label, Non-Fiction Sound, in 2007.
