Du Nord's Take:

Well, once again, slick packaging and a fabulous girl made me buy a CD. Ok, I also wanted Filterfunk's remix of "Message in a Bottle" (The Police) in my collection. I was a huge Police fan and this is a very good remix, so here we go….

The CD is mixed by Nick "Fierce" Fiorucci and Zoltan and is a good indicator of what is (supposedly) popular in Miami clubs this year. Ok, I'm not so naïve to believe that is universally true, but this is a very commercially-minded release, as is revealed in the track listing.

It starts with Tom Novy feat. Michael Marshall in a bouncy track called (appropriately) "Your Body (Andy Van Mix)" and segues into "Dancin" feat Luvli (Aaron Smith), which has a great vocal. Next follows "Say Say Say" by Hi_Tack, which is about as commercial as you can get in a club.

I won't bore you with all the tracks, but I did like Filterfunk's "Message in a Bottle" and Armand Van Helden's "Sugar (Paper Faces Mix)". The mix ends with Deep Dish's "Sacramento" (Carlos Legaz and Spyder Vox), which is probably the worst track on the disc (sorry, guys).

All-in-all, a decent go round, but maybe I'll choose something else next time. It's just a touch too "Top-40" for me. Oh well, can't win 'em all.
