Bio from www.markhollinger.de. Used by permission.

20 years musician - 10 years DJ - ...and now his Comeback !

The 31st of March, 1979 was probably one of the most important days in his Life..... To be exact, it was his first day. When he was 7 years old, he started playing music in a musical playschool with a mouth organ and continued in 1988 with piano lessons.

His grandparents already had a Casio Keyboard, which he liked more than the classic piano.

In 1992, he bought his big brother the brand-new ATARI MEGA STE. Thank God, here was a Rhythmcomposer Software called "Freedrum", where Mark programmed his first drumloops.

Four years later, some club events in his area started up called "Rave the village" by Hannibalecter Events and "Soundhouse" by Mystic Mountains. But Mark became a member of the Discoteam of his Lutheran Church. There were events of Dance-evenings. Around 11:00p,m there was a break and one of the team preached the Gospel. That was a great time.

In 1998, Mark did civilian service where he earned his first "real" money. So he bought his own belt-drive-turntable and played vinyl for the first time in public on Freakstock. One year later, he left his parents home near Kaiserslautern (a.k.a. "K-Town") to move to Nuremberg.

There he started the legendary "Lightliner Project" where he produced his first tracks.

In the same time, he set a milestone of worship in the Jesus Freaks Church. That was the first "electronic" sounds in the churches of Nuremberg. There grew some new projects in from different producers in Marks footsteps like "COCOON PROJECT" or "VERBALES DESIGN".

The "Lightliner Project" became famous in America, United Kingdom and Poland. Yes, thats right... in Poland!

Through the website www.lightliner.com at that time, he got an invitation to play a mixset in Wroclaw. There was a great Drum and Bass Night with Mark as headliner under the nickname "DJ Josh".  So he was invited to come to the Slot Art Festival in 2002, and there he met his wife.

After this time, there followed the time with NuJazz and Chillout. He produced some tracks and sometimes spinned the records. From 2003 to 2004, he got a possibility to work as the first residence DJ of Cafe "Das Willich". After he quit, there were until now weekly DJs.

In 2004, he made an internship in the office of Stereo Deluxe Records and helped out into stocks. In this 6 months, he started some friendships to few SD-Artists like TRIO ELETRICO, BOOZOO BAJOU, THE STRIKE BOYS, RAZOOF and one day met MEGABLAST and MO HORIZONS. That was really a great time.

One year later, he finished his job-education, and he worked in a famous Store of

Analogue Synthesizers. During this job, he met his new friend Rene Seitz - Producer of LUNAR ECLIPSE (Melted Steel, Last Journey,..) The friendships to CEDAR, FAITHMASSIVE,FUNK'N FLEX and THE WEATHER INSIDE supported him continuous in a special way.

The Comeback of Marks Productions was in 2006 with the COTOW EP.
