Glare's early tunes were produced by Dustin Skiles to play exclusively in his DJ sets. As technical as they are musical, Dustin’s sets also reflect a message of celebration and hope. To deliver the message loud and clear, Dustin began writing vocal-driven tunes for a soulful, unique, and talented singer to perform during his DJ sets. Conveniently enough (and well planned by God himself, we must say) Dustin is married to Breana Skiles, a powerful vocalist whose voice has character, class, and identity. The first songs they wrote together stayed in much the same condition as the other Glare material. They were never recorded or released. Instead, they were moving from song to song to simply explore the depths of their creativity and trying to pinpoint their sound. Currently somewhere between house music and electronic anything, Glare has had a busy year of writing, producing, and recording.

Garnishing widespread attention during its digital prerelease, Glare’s debut single “Alive Again” (with Breana Skiles) has recently been released on a compilation called “Osmotic Pressure” on the DeepSink/LowRoof imprint of the Netherlands. New remixes of this deep, vocal-driven progressive number are in the works and are scheduled for a Positivenergy Music release early in '06. On the other end of the spectrum, the much more upbeat tune “Here Tonight” has recently been released both digitally and 12” vinyl on Positivenergy Music. With grimy synths and a big, mean bass line providing the backdrop, Brean's vocal on "Here Tonight" sets the mood just right. Breana performed a reworked version of this tune at Glare record release parties and are currently rerecording. Also finding a niche as a solid remix artist, Dustin has recently delivered a Glare remix of “Bubble” by Christian pop group The Girls, available on RKM.
