Sheltershed – Industrial Dance / Techno / Electro

With a history dating back to 1998, Indiana-based Sheltershed's roots reach to Melbourne, Australia. In that year, Melbourne native Wil Foster joined forces with Craig White and Rob Tippey to form Sheltershed. After they released several EPs and appeared on several compilations, N*Soul Records produced Sheltershed's first major label project, Underground Resistance, in 2001.

The trio followed up Resistance with a couple of independent EPs before finding a home on Scott Blackwell's MYX Recording Group. In 2003, MYX released Sheltershed's full-length album, International Plastic. The album included appearances by Sheri and Wally Shaw and Ultrabeat (a.k.a. Erik Augustsson).

In the toddler years of the 21st century, Sheltershed played several "Youth For Christ" events, youth conventions at Illinois Wesleyan University, and four consecutive Cornerstone festivals (2000-2003). When performing, whether for Christian fellowship or worship, it is all done in obedience to the two greatest commandments, out of love for God and for others.

After the release of their EP Airspace, Wil Foster parted ways with Sheltershed in 2004. Tippey (now an assistant pastor) and White (a child and adolescent therapist) continued Sheltershed, but it didn't remain a duo for long. In the fall of 2004, Sheltershed and Dan Bartow (a.k.a. heldbywill) met for "Meeting of the Minds 1", where the three got together to write some new music. This collaboration led to a joint performance at the Dance Barn during Cornerstone 2005, which led to more collaboration, which finally led to Sheltershed again becoming a trio when Bartow became an official part of Sheltershed.

Their latest EP, Other Condition, is expected to be released in July of 2006.
