Du Nord's Take:

I really, really like this release. I knew it would be “hard dance” but I am not very familiar with the genre. It is trancey with Techno elements, deep morphed vocal samples and somewhat Electro-Industrial sounding synth patterns. Pounding beats and distorted bass make everything come alive in these tracks. I love the vocals as well, especially the breakdown in “Proximity” that sounds so beautiful.

I wish more of the singers’ vocals were included in the songs as she does an excellent job.
My favorite tracks are “A New World” with its great composition and vibe and “Wanna Get Wild” (Hard and Styles Mix) with its ultra hard beats and bouncing acid bass line. I could easily sneak these into an Industrial set for flavor and continuity. I don’t want to forget to mention “All I Want To Do” with its similarities to a Paul Van Dyk track. Worshipful lyrics and great Trance sound make this a possible track for DJ Worship or just easy listening and bible study.

Overall a good release and perhaps I was a little cautious in my scoring. I just love vocal tracks and it would be great to have an extended vocal mix of  “Proximity” and “All I Want To Do”. Thanks to DJ Phase and his crew for an inspiring release that I look forward to listening to for a long while.
