Brian's Take:

Antoine Clamaran brings us the latest release from house label Sondos. The two track 12" features the tribal sounds of "Noise" and "I Feel Love". With worthy credits under his belt such as his remix of JJ Flores & Steve Smooth's "The Ride", this release is a stunning disappointment. This record will not last long in anyone's memory… or charts.
Some of the few redeeming factors on this release lie in the breakdown of "I Feel Love", the B-side. If it weren't for the early '90's sounding melodies on the B-side and the heavy tribal percussion in both tracks, I would've classified the record as below average. Both tracks on this vinyl are heavily bass and drum oriented, but would've been better had Clamaran left it at that.

The main track on this record, "Noise", lives up to its title. The intro of the song promises a fun, tribal groove. However soon into the track Clamaran introduces an obnoxious high alarm-type note, as a failed attempt to hype the listener. Sadly enough, the song's entire concept is a sorry one-note excuse for a song. The B-side, "I Feel Love", unfortunately isn't much better. The vocals are loud, out of place, and awkwardly out of tune. Neither of the tracks are outstandingly intuitive. In fact the only area keeping this record from falling "below average", is the rocking percussion. I wouldn't suggest buying this release, but if you spin tribal at least give it a listen.
