Andy T getting ready to rock the decks. It has been two days since we arrived back from Cornerstone Festival and let me tell ya, it has taken some time to adjust back to "non-Cornerstone" life and to try to put everything in perspective.  Looking back, I must say that I believe that Cornerstone 2005 was the most fulfilling and personally productive week of my life thus far; most importantly, the people that I was blessed to meet up with and those who I met for the first time made a huge impact in my spiritual life.

  • Ashley Baker, a dear friend of mine who I met at an Acquire the Fire youth conference, helped us tremendously with delicious food, encouraging words, and a smile on her face. I will never forget the conversations we had Ashley B.
  • Jeffrey Zion was very informative and helpful.  Jeffrey, your zeal is truly inspiring.
  • Dunamis, bro, you are one of the purest brethren I have met thus far, and I appreciate your skills, both on the decks, and with people.
  • Pat D, thank you so much for all that you did. You and Rick were very supportive and you kept the crowd rocking man.
  • Dj404, what can I say, bro, your presence was instrumental to the festival as a whole. Speaking of instruments, 404 I have your guitar, pm me please.
  • Nobody else could have followed that tag-team of Terrence Parker and DJ MoReese. You also helped out tremendously with keeping everybody at peace and were totally understanding about our sound system troubles, which was cooked like a hard-boiled egg by the second day of heat in excess of 100 degrees.
  • Also a big shout out goes to DJ Rain, thank you for your set, it blessed me man.

  • Jerry man it was a pleasure again working with you and I am so glad to have had the honor of baptizing you in lake Cornerstone.  Keep the faith bro, the best is yet to come.
  • Brian Scroggins you rocked the house. Dude, your set was perhaps the most memorable.  Your live PA's brought back the memories I am sure we all treasure about the good olde days when producers rocked it with nothing but real gear.
  • Shelby it was great to hang out with you, thanks for all that you did, your Native American flute solos still ring in my head. That was mad cool.
  • Davo, great work again brother, I hope your label continues to be successful.
  • Cindy from the UG it was awesome meeting you, let's pool our resources next year for Cornerstone and rock it by the lake, perhaps it will be a little cooler there!
  • Tim Clark it was so cool watching you play live, and you were a light for us, always open for conversation and giving of your time and talents.
  • DJ Glow thanks again man, great job, and DJ Yo-Yo again I apologize for the scheduling mishaps. I promise to improve our scheduling abilities next time, man.

One Life Radio/Gospel for Asia StageAs far as the wrap-up, I definitely got to say overall God showed His mighty strength to us all, and to me personally His strong arm revealed itself early on. When the sound was toast, Jerry's car wouldn't start, and water ran out, God was there to fix everything. God fixed everything, and it became clear that I needed to lean on Him, and not my own efforts or lackluster abilities.

God sent a man to me who spoke to me very clearly about His will, and this man anointed me during my set with oil from a priest named Father Clement from Chicago.  Also during the fest I met a healer by the name of Gayle who just arrived from Mozambique, who encouraged me greatly with a prophetic word about God's will for my life, and for my place in this world, for Gospel for Asia, JPUSA, and Cornerstone.  This gift stays with me still, and had me in tears for a great deal of time afterwards, so much that I was unable to see many of the shows I wanted to see.  However, this stirring of my soul was absolutely necessary, and it hit me right where I needed to be hit. Thank you Gayle, may God bless you and your love for Africa.

Technically the sound was disastrous, but again, God came through later on with a pair of Mackie 3-ways that saved the day. Thank you Jeremy's Dad (of Dreadsway).  Also the live webcast could not happen due to limitations of the "g" network specs as well as digico charging (a lot of) money to use the hotspot. Perhaps next year we can sponsor the hotspot and do the live thang.  Also my sincerest apologies to Terrence Parker and DJ MoResse who could not find our stage due to the people who parked their large vans right in front of our stage obscuring it. Two 1200's also stopped working for unknown reasons so we had to revert to decks that were questionable to say the least.

Everyone involved was way, way, way cool to work with and I anticipate next year's Cornerstone Festival already.  Everybody please keep in touch with everybody else here on TastyFresh and Dave thank you for this opportunity to recap this mountain/molehill that was Gospel for Asia/OneLifeRadio.com's sound stage @ Cornerstone 2005.
This verse spoke to me throughout the fest, and I hope it blesses you as well, "He who goes forth bearing precious seed, shall no doubt return rejoicing, bearing his sheaves", from the Psalms.  I do rejoice!

With that I say Peace in Christ Jesus to y'all, and we will see ya next time, without a doubt.
