Vitals:DJ/Artist Name: DJ Responsible T Interview:What is the thing you like most about DJing?I love talking with peeps who come up to the decks and vibe out with me about their favorite producers and asking what that last cut was, and the joy from being able to minister to them by sharing info about Christian music and the Gospel. I have had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people over the past few years, and God has blessed me with the fellowship I need to keep promoting the Gospel through my music ministry. How would you describe your style?Heavy hard spine tingling soul that makes you close your eyes and smile. Though the spectrum of my selections may range from liquid drum n bass to broken beat amen rinse-outs to shout music style Gospel house to street Christian rap and hip hop, I strive to string it all together with a certain sound that tugs on the heart strings. As much a vibe for the mind as for the dancin’ shoes. How does your faith influence your DJing? What Christ did for you and I reaches so much farther than any music can, but I do believe that the Holy Spirit can lead one to a state of Worship that is elemental to a worship-led dj service. My music ministry is a service to my brothers and sisters, and I only select tunes that I feel portray Christ Jesus. Though I reject many tunes even for the slightest deviation from the Gospel message, even song title, I have found a wealth of tracks and songs by Christians that communicate His Love that I feel are without comparison to anything on the market today. The dj tag “responsible” conveys a message to you the listener, that I work hard to provide Christian tracks for your enjoyment and spiritual edification with a double dose of soul. What excites you most about playing Cornerstone this year?Man, I got to give God all the Glory for the family reunion this year. Big up 404, Pat D, Frankie Vibe, Andy Hunter, Davo and Demulcent, the Underground Crew, Terrence Parker, DJ Moreese, Jeffrey Zion, Nikos, Ellipse and all the Tastyfresh cats. The possibility of winning souls in Asia through Gospel for Asia’s materials and literature which they have graciously donated for us to freely distribute is the “soul” inspiration for the Gospel for Asia / OneLife Radio venue. Last year, I met a man named Chad who sponsored a native missionary named Swarup Kumar, who is spreading the Gospel message to the unreached in Asia today as we speak because of Chad’s decision to sponsor a native missionary. One third of the world is from Asia or China and almost none of them even know that Jesus exists. Can you imagine? We need to get those people into heaven with us, and Gospel for Asia is the way to realize this goal! See www.gfa.org . Who is the DJ/Artist you look up to the most?I gotta give this shout to my man Frankie Vibe. When I heard his show on House of Inspirations that was the turning point in my musical career. His mix and testimony touched my heart and soul greatly. Don’t miss him Friday at high noon at Gospel for Asia / OneLife Radio stage. What is in your current all time top 5 chart?Whew, ok, gotta think back on this one
