Vitals:DJ/Artist Name: DJ Race (John Rhaesa) As the "resident DJ during the mid 90's" at both The Fringe and the Sonlight Club, Race has appeared as a supporting act for such artists as POD, the Insyderz, Prodigal Sons, Sixpence None The Richer, Echoing Green, All Star United, Five Iron Frenzy, Prophetica, and MxPx. Sonlight Club is recognized as one of the early models for Christian dance clubs across the United States. House Party has taken DJ Race to such diverse forums as Cornerstone Music Festival, basketball courts, churches, college campuses, high schools, youth camps, and the streets of major cities and even to underground radio in Estonia. Interview:What is the thing you like most about DJing?The Music. How would you describe your style?I have no style. It varies depending on the make-up of the crowd. How does your faith influence your DJing?Yes, it does. It impacts what and how and why I spin. From song selection , to the direction I put tracks together. What excites you most about playing Cornerstone this year?Opportunity to experience God with others people in new ways.
