Vitals:DJ/Artist Name: DJ Ellipse / Shelby Callaway Trancending Dimensions, the ensuing production company, was born in 2001. Founded by Shelby and his friend Chris Jackson, and starting with a pair of Stanton STR-8 tables and a basic mixer, Transcending Dimensions has enough success with their amateur equipment to upgrade to a pair of technics sl-1200 m3d’s and throw some of the best parties in Wyoming. This duo played many other shows before they graduated and went their separate ways for college. Since 2003 Shelby has held a residency on Tuesday nights with Four4 Productions. He is also a weekly resident on www.cyberwisdom.org and www.oneliferadio.com, and has spun featured guest sets on www.etn.fm. Interview:What is the thing you like most about DJing?Ever since I started I have always loved the concept of mixing, and manipulating 2 records to make something totally different than what the original sounded like. Being able to mix, make people dance, and have a really good time while doing it is my favorite part. Ever since I first laid my hands on a pair of decks I was hooked for life. How would you describe your style?Progressive/hard trance How does your faith influence your DJing?Mixing and producing is worthless without Christ, the sole reason I am a DJ and music producer is to proclaim the name of Christ to as many nations as possible through my witness my music, my testimony, and my love, all through Christ can any of this be done. Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for me to live, so with that life he gave to me, I want to use it to tell as many people as possible what he did for me. Not only did he sacrifice himself for me. So to answer the question, my faith has everything to do with my DJing because without Christ, I am just an empty shell. What excites you most about playing Cornerstone this year?Wow, where do I start, there is so much to look forward to! Meeting many new friends in person from tastyfresh, and just meeting new people in general. Seeing many different bands, worshiping god with thousands of other people, spinning on the same stage with many other amazing DJ’s. Honestly everything about cornerstone has me excited from head to toe. Who is the DJ/Artist you look up to the most?I would definitely have to say the Echoing Green. They were the first Christian electronic music artists I ever heard after being saved. The messages in their music were powerful, yet they could appeal to everyone at the same time. When listening to their cd, it inspired me to want to one day write music for Christ like them, and that is one of the top reasons I begun pursuing my music career. What is in your current all time top 5 chart?
