Afterhours 2008

I tell you what, it has been a crazy few weeks getting all the sections together for this issue as well as a few surprises. We have some great things lined up for you in this issue. The Tastyfresh.com staff and I have been hard at work planning the rest of this years magazine, Afterhours, as well as some things for the future of Tastyfresh.com. One of the ways we will be going about the changes is going to be a survey. This will be coming out in the next few weeks. I want everyone here to take that survey as soon as it goes live. This will give us the information on what the community wants and needs so that we can make sure those things are being provided.

Issue 23: The New Year, The Freshies and Colour

Andy Hunter So, 2008 is upon us. Last year was a great year. I started it in England doing what I love, learning and talking about Jesus. Tastyfresh had a great year as well. I will miss last year, but I am incredibly excited about 2008. If we have half as good as a year this year, we are still in for a treat. But I know from hearing about this years plans for events, we will have an even better year. Which, for me, is hard to imagine.

Issue 22: Year's End and the Drop is Back

Joel Armstrong

Well this is it, the last issue of the Tastyfresh Magazine for 2007. It has been a great year for me. Taking over as the editor of the TF magazine has been straining at times. It certainly isn’t as easy as I hoped or thought it would be, but it is what it is and I love it. I have been very blessed to have been asked to take this over and run with it.

We are ending the year with a bang. As the writers began submitting their articles, I became more and more excited. I have read them over and over again, trying to get every little bit of wisdom and experience I possibly can. We have four this issue, all are top quality.

Issue 21: New Editor, New Column

My name is Alex Wilson and as Dave Richardson announced last issue, I have taken over the reigns of the Tastyfresh.com magazine and let me tell you, the staff and I have got so much new stuff that I know you will love. But before going into all of the new things in this issue, I want to thank Dave Richardson for asking me to take this position. It is an honor and I will be doing my best to make this magazine better then ever. This issue is a bit small because I am still getting settled in. This issue also does not have a Drop. I am currently talking with a few people about editing that section. We are also already working on the next issue, so expect that one to be full of great stuff. Please bear with me for the time being.

Issue 20: Cornerstone and Changes in the Wind

Dave Richards - SimpsonizedWell, this is it. You are now, finally, reading the annual Cornerstone Music Festival issue where we collectively recount what happened at this year’s EDM stage in that lovely place known as Bushnell, Il. This year was extremely different though since I was in charge, well… me and the BTU Posse and well… just about everyone who had a connection to Tastyfresh. Kevin and I did the bulk of the planning, Fitzpatrick and I handled the graphics, Jeremy Kadinger handled the generator stage to a level other stages only dreamed of and the list of workers goes on. I need to give a special thanks to Andy Turner of Deeplife Records who literally saved our generator stage when we lost our subwoofer during our first official set on the first day.

Issue #19: I Blame Cornerstone

The BarnWell… it’s been a busy two months over here. So busy that in case you hadn’t noticed, I’m almost two weeks late getting this issue of the zine out to you. For that, I apologize. A large amount of the delay was definitely caused by me having to deal with some of the logistical needs of Cornerstone this year. One of the things we are doing in addition to just booking the talent is setting up a secondary generator stage. Beyond that, I’ve been working on rebranding the venue and working with the Flickerings group who uses the Barn as an ultra-cool movie house during the day to create a new sign and group of logos for our events. Now that all of that is out of the way, I just need to place some phone calls and emails and the event will be all set. Thanks for being patient with me.

Issue #18: Cornerstone & Podcasting
Written by David Richardson

Well, it’s that time again. Time for me to write an intro to the latest TF mag. There’s always so much to talk about and it’s hard to focus on what aspect of life here at Tasty needs to be told. This time however, the story is simple and 2-fold: Cornerstone and the Podcast.

Issue #17

Has it been two months already? Is it a new year… again? Issue #17 huh? That many? Wow. We have been doing this for a while now. I should be used to this cycle. For some odd reason, this issue has been harder coming than others. Partly, I think it’s Christmas. At least I want to blame Christmas for the rush I feel I am in this time around. That’s not the only issue though.

Well, here we are again. It’s the last issue of the year. It seems like I should have some feeling of finality regarding it. After all, it’s been a long and busy year here. Over the past year, we have published over 80 different articles, and reviews and that’s far from all the new content that was added this year. We started the long process of creating for the first time a comprehensive list of bios for EDM producers who are Christians, and we are just starting to scratch the surface with the initial 43 we currently have. Beyond that, we had a total redesign of the site from the ground up. I mean, as far as Tastyfresh.com was concerned, this was a huge year, and I should be ready to put things to rest for a while, right?

The Usual Fare, But This Time With Events

Well, this turned into a rather packed issue. I’ve got a ton of editing to do so I’ll keep my usual rant short this time. Let’s get this thing rolling.

Tastyfresh: Not an Army of One

Well, it’s been two months now since the launch of the new Tastyfresh.com site. With that system we are FINALLY able to allow people other than, well me, to directly enter and edit content on this site. For this, we have to thank the Joomla! Content Management System that the site is now built on. I cannot begin to stress what a blessing this CMS is concerning my restraints on time. Now, what I really need are some people who are willing to help write new material for the site.
