Major Pax – I Want A New Life EP
Friday, 02 March 2007

Major Pax hits us with the 6-track I Want A New Life EP. This was, more than most releases, an interesting one. Through genre variety and a very personal sound, Major Pax delivers several great tracks.

20goto10 - Elizabeth, Haunted By Ghosts
Friday, 23 February 2007

Although not as immediately accessible as what is heard on pop radio, it definitely is a pop concept album more than an album of dance tracks. Looked at as pop, or maybe rock, it is unusually substantial. In return for being slightly inaccessible, it has something to offer on repeated listens.

Monica Schroeder – Move Me
Friday, 23 February 2007

Ten of Monica's most popular songs were handed over to the masterful hands of two highly skilled trance producers. Russia's DJ Ram and Nevarakka from Sweden each took turns dismantling, mangling, and reinventing Schroeder's music. So here I sit in an apartment practically overlooking Red Square in downtown Moscow, listening to my new favourite Russian producer and his Scandinavian counterpart for this project.

Dennis Ferrer – The World as I See It
Saturday, 17 February 2007

I loved this release right outta the gates! This has style, talent, and raw panache in every track. Dennis has gotta be proud of this puppy; it is awesome!

Peter Pace – Front
Saturday, 17 February 2007

I didn't warm up to this one very quickly. I like the music; it's just not the "norm" of what I listen to. Oh well, it's good to expand one's musical horizons.

Spiritually Minded - Fanatic
Thursday, 08 February 2007

First off, I would like to give great marks but, at the same time, point a few things out and help a brother in Christ. This was a good album for the liquid drum n bass/trip-hop crowd, but I felt it lacked in quality as far as sound and production.

Van Lazarux - Dirty Bass EP
Thursday, 08 February 2007

Van Lazarux brings us a 3-track EP with dance-floor minded tracks.  The original mix is a well produced house track with a techno feel. Like the track title is saying, it has a dirty bass that drives the track. It would probably sound huge on a large soundsystem.

Logistics - Now More Than Ever
Monday, 05 February 2007

I was excited to listen to this record. Anyone familiar with Logistics and his brand of drum & bass would be. Many drum & bass DJ mixes over the last 6 months have been dropping select tracks from this album, and it has only served to increase my love of this producer's music.

Fuzik – Mankind
Sunday, 04 February 2007

Queep Organic House introduces their next release, entitled "Mankind". Coming from progressive house producer Fuzik, the original version is a listener-friendly throwback to progressive the way it used to be.

Tiago AZ – The Other Side Of The Moon
Friday, 26 January 2007

Next Dimension presents Tiago AZ's new deep house EP entitled The Other Side of the Moon. Generally when it comes to the style of deep house, it takes quite a bit to impress me. I'll admit I was much more impressed than I initially thought I would be.

Cut the Red Wire – Be Still Oh Child Of Earth, All Heaven Is In Your Hands
Friday, 19 January 2007

There's this whole scene of indy/electro/synth pop I'm not familiar of. Cut the Red Wire is probably a typical band from this genre. They released an interesting electro-pop album. It features nine tracks with very emotional and melancholic sounds. Each track has very good melodies and harmonies—some simple, some complex—which keeps it interesting.
