Hillsong London - Jesus Is Re:mix
Thursday, 27 December 2007

Jesus Is Re:mix is (obviously) a remix project, as pointed out in the name, based on Hillsong London's 2006 Jesus Is project. The idea is one that has been attempted countless times in the Christian Music Industry. For the most part, these projects are unimpressive in a club setting. This project however is not bad at all.

BTU - Bringing The Underground Vol. 1
Sunday, 23 December 2007

Bringing the Underground, Volume 1 is one of BTU Recordings' first mix albums to hit the scene, bringing some of the best tracks of BTU. This truly brings the underground trance scene with nice blends of different styles of trance, including tech, progressive, and psy.

Reborn - 7Days & 7Nights
Friday, 14 December 2007

The track is called "7Days & 7 Nights", and it plays out more like a mixset than just one track. I suppose this is what a live concert performance from Reborn would sound like.

Superstar, the third EP from the young German producer Thomas Wagner (aka Tomic), features four tracks of pure progressive house. Tomic's previous two EPs—entitled EP 1.2 and Inside The Flow—received much-deserved support from around the globe and was charted by Hernan Cattaneo.

Onyx – Groove On

I find this album, as a whole, to be a very enjoyable and invigorating listen. The music is relaxing, yet makes me want to get up and dance.

French producer Melchyor A brings us a nice dose of classic deep house with his 4-track EP, The Grooveymen.

The Freak Show – The Less You Freak
Saturday, 13 October 2007

While they have had some success already with their live show and through their releases on other compilations, this debut album sets the stage for the duo to make their move in a big way to dance floors across the globe.

Major Pax - Raising Faith
Friday, 07 September 2007

The recipe for success here is definitely the supreme melodic content heard in the original track, which styles itself after progressive trance.

Mr. Fuzz Presents Twisty Fuzz – Berlin Flight #1
Wednesday, 29 August 2007

I loved this release from the get go. Electro-house is a genre that I've needed time to grow into and this is an example of truly quality stuff.

NuTone - Back of Beyond
Wednesday, 29 August 2007

Very good release, another good solid release here. It's just about as good as the Logistics release I heard recently. There's some good stuff coming out of Hospital Records.

Ikronix - The Warming Trend
Monday, 27 August 2007

This EP contains the two tracks, "Shade" and "The Warming Trend", which together weigh in at almost 17 minutes. But these tracks aren't hefty because of the duration, they are laden with skilled production, rich in charisma and heavy in musical content!
