Demulcent again is showing an increase in quality. One contributing factor to this I think is that Faith of a Child is stronger track to begin with than I See Grace. I do wish that the remixes came off a bit better, but they are not bad. In my opinion, the best tracks on the EP are Day Break and Prostrate (Smart Casual Mix). If you are hesitant about buying this release because of the vocals in the title track, these two tracks will make it worth you money. |

Telepopmusik has been around for a few years now and came to my attention with the track Breathe which I believe was featured in a major car ad campaign (Mitsubishi). I was immediately drawn to their subtle mix of futuristic music and somewhat yesteryear stylings. |

This certainly sounded interesting when I picked it up the other day. Hmm… Chill and House… Chill House! I really had high hopes for this release but alas, it was not to be fulfilled. The CD is a sampler of different groups doing variations on this theme of chill house. Unfortunately, this is a collection of good ideas that really needs much more polish and depth to be commercially viable on larger scale. |

Amazing. This is light years ahead of Volume 1 of the same series. DJ Cattaneo is a South American native who spins radio and the club circuit there and (I assume) abroad. |

I bought this mix hoping to hear some great new House from a “semi”-famous DJ. I don’t know a lot about John as far as his mixing skills or dance floor sensibilities but I do know something about his taste in music. |

Hx shows us a Sheltershed unlike one we have seen before. This new Sheltershed is one of change. You cannot listen to the first track and then the rest of the CD and feel that it is the same band. Maybe I am overestimating HeldbyWill’s influence on Submersible, but given the departure of Wil Foster, a change sonically is likely to happen. I am looking forward to the next release to see what that change will be exactly. |

VNV has long stood for quality music in the Industrial Dance scene and their remix album “Burning Empires” is a staple for most DJ’s (still played today). You would be interested to know that Humate co-produced a few of the tracks and I believe you will find an almost Progressive quality to them. |

I loved Exodus when it was first released. I thought it was a great album, then I started getting more objective with it and parts of it simply didn’t work for me. I’ve been listening to Life now for about 5 days straight. I don’t have that feeling at all with this album. The first two tracks don’t really do much for me, but the rest of the CD is a sonic gold mine. |

This is something I waited WEEKS to get in my clammy little fingers and listen to. I ordered through Flaming Fish in Canada and it does take a while to get to our little island paradise here in the South Pacific. Ah well, delayed gratification can be a good thing. |

The Disc is the soundtrack to a low-budget action flick released by Faith Road (www.faithroad.com). You can grab that flick on DVD or QuickTime on the site if you are interested. Fienix recently appeared on Osmotic Wave, the follow up to Osmotic Hype with a fairly standard trance track. This CD however is almost all Drum and Bass ranging from the more atmospheric tracks you would expect from Joey Davis and Ceder to some harder hitting and darker numbers that you might find the Evol Intent boys and others would release. |

This is the latest installment from N*Soul’s Nitro Praise series and has been widely speculated about and was highly touted by the label. We were promised top-notch production and mastering as well as a “better-than-ever” sound. How did they deliver and what is the final word? Let’s explore … |
