Rain’s creative focus currently lies with the creation and production of beautiful music. He began his label, Magnify Music, with the following mission: to create, produce, remix, and play unique music that combines jazz, gospel, house, and other soulful qualities. “Urban Excursions, Volume One,” the initial release on Magnify Music, is a compilation that definitely follows the mission of the label. |

Hypostatic is Victor Minetola. Victor Minetola is 32. He is a producer/musician. He is originally from Detroit (not the suburbs, but the actual city) and currently living in Ann Arbor, MI. He likes techno, but that isn’t what he does. It’s more of an old school meets nu skool, progressive meets regressive (and sometimes aggressive), trance meets bigbreakbeat electro pop. Music for your body, mind, and soul. |

It's difficult to describe Sheltershed. Some would say it's "electronic". Others would claim it to be the ungerground of "electro-core". Most find themselves at a loss for words. Sheltershed's live performances take 2 forms: a "DJ Lead Worship" experience that deliberately creates an environment of music, sights and a community to lead the participants in a worshipful encounter with God. It’s been a busy two months. At least it has been around my house. With less than one month to go before my first son will be born, the only thing that seems to be certain is his name: Eric Scott Richardson or if the Ultrasound was wrong... Erica. I’m excited, but I’ve been so busy painting rooms, stressing out at work, coordinating this zine and helping my wife out that there has been very little time for relaxing. I still have found time to beat Star Wars Republic Commando, gain a level or two in World of Warcraft and work on some new tunes. Heh… I am starting to suspect that my music no longer exists simply because I have not been releasing it. I can assure you that there are close to ten unreleased Redsavior tracks out there right now. I will probably start to shop those around in May. |

This is the second article in a series on the various methods to the madness of performing live electronic music. Last issue, analogue hardware and repeater setups were under the microscope. Whether consisting of classic pieces of gear hardwired together with various outdated synchronization protocols from CV/Gate to MIDI, or rigs that utilize new units that combine the best features of yesteryear with cutting edge technology, the hardware performers’ showcased last issue let the machines do the talking, with no hierarchical master sequencer sending controlling messages down the MIDI chain. |

So what’s this dance music thing all about? It’s one thing to be able to put an ordered piece of music together, but is it actually something that works? Also, is it something that people can dance to or enjoy listening to? And if I decide to sit down and write a tune, where do I start? These things will be covered in the following article. |

My name is Darren, but you probably know me better on the TF boards as TranceLover. Trance music has been a huge part of my life and had a big influence on me over the past 11 or 12 years, it has been a journey, and a journey that I have really wanted to share. This is my walk with trance. |
