Christianity and the Dance Scene II: Welcome to the Real Underground
Friday, 15 July 2005

Part of the reason why I have waited so long to continue this series is that I still have my own questions as to what we are doing, why we are doing it and what the end result should be. There is also division among our “leaders” in regards to what we are doing, why we are doing it and what the end result should be. All of them, in some way passionately feel that their way is God’s way. I’m fully including myself in that statement by the way. One thing that I feel we need to do is get a reality check on our position in the larger scene. Hopefully, this article will do just that.

Bass Line Theory
Friday, 15 July 2005

A piece of music is often only as good as its bass line. The most memorable part of a tune from classic songs by artists like Masters at Work, Michael Jackson, or more recently the Black Eyed Peas would be so much less without the groove that’s driven by a good beat and a great bass. In this article, we look at some common chord structures and methods of creating a good bass line that will help to create better bass in your music.

Recently Ryan has gotten into creating a hybrid DJ/VJ show using self-produced audio and video controlled via a custom built rig.

Cornerstone 2005: A Big Year For Dance
Friday, 15 July 2005

When we, the forum members of Tastyfresh, think about Cornerstone, chances are we are thinking of the DJ's and dancing. However, when one actually goes to Cornerstone, you quickly see that we are the minority. Cornerstone attendees go for various reasons from the bands, to friends, to experience God, and others just to get away from life. But out of all the reasons people go, seeing DJ's spin is not on their minds a lot of the times. Well this year, dance music was represented in three venues and one impromptu card table near the footbridge.

Cornerstone 2005: Five Lessons I Learned this Year
Friday, 15 July 2005

Any event in which any of us are involved in is successful because of the effort put in by everyone. So many people came together to help make Cstone successful. The willingness of each person to be flexible, available, and to do whatever is needed is a HUGE component to a successful event.

Cornerstone 2005: Wrapping-Up the One Life Radio/Gospel for Asia Stage
Friday, 15 July 2005

It has been two days since we arrived back from Cornerstone Festival and let me tell ya, it has taken some time to adjust back to "non-Cornerstone" life and to try to put everything in perspective.  Looking back, I must say that I believe that Cornerstone 2005 was the most fulfilling and personally productive week of my life thus far; most importantly, the people that I was blessed to meet up with and those who I met for the first time made a huge impact in my spiritual life.

What God is Doing in My Life
Friday, 15 July 2005

What God is doing in my life...  sounds a lot like some serious church cliché doesn't it?  If you knew me personally you'd know that cliché church lingo is something that you wont find coming out of my mouth.  I almost cringe when I hear people say the same things that we've been trained to say in church every Sunday morning.  In fact I believe its come to the point where people say, “Ill be praying for you” when they have no intention of doing it at all.  In fact I know it happens because I've done it.

Big Things and Big Delays
Sunday, 15 May 2005

Today, I am finally writing the intro for the new issue. Everything is done except linking in the files and writing this one last piece. It’s almost done. I’m almost there. This has been a rough issue to get done. One of the biggest reasons was the birth of my son last month. Eric Scott Richardson is now 10 lbs and 23 inches long. I can’t believe he’s here. We’ve waited so long for him and we weren’t even expecting him. He truly is a gift from God and with that gift comes the challenge of balancing work, Tastyfresh, my music, my family and well… my video game addiction. All of that combined with the fact that this issue is DOUBLE in size meant I was in for a rough time getting it out. But… it’s here now. Let the celebration begin while I step out and take a 5 min. breather.
