My mom has been having some escalating health problems for some time now.  I was talking to my dad last night, and he said that the doctor told her that she has Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).  I had that when I was much younger myself, and that's really not a pleasant thing. 

He also told me that he had to take my mom to the hospital yesterday, and she's still there.  She takes so many medications, vitamins, etc.  I can't help but think that there are some adverse reactions going on with all that. 

Hmmm...  I never really though of my mom as a sickly person, so I don't know what's going on with her.  I'm thinking that, due to her naturally nervous and high-strung temperament, that it's caught up with her.  That sucks.  Usually stress-related health problems DO hit in the GI. 

Fortunately, my dad and I get along 1000% better than we used to.  That, in and of itself, is a miracle.  There is a God, that's for sure, because the likelihood of that ever happening otherwise is nil. 

So, I hope the doctors can find out what's wrong, and hopefully get her off some of those medications.  My dad's really worried for her.  I appreciate that.  He's really stepped up to the plate in the past few years.

Also praying...we're having a whole week of fasting and praying at our church. While I haven't been fasting myself, I have been attending the evening prayer services and they're great! We're focusing on families under attack.
So I'll lift up your mother for sure. 

Hey all. 

My mom's fine.  It just so happens that she's been diagnosed with IBS as well as diverticulitis, a fairly common thing among the older folk.  She's feeling a bit better, has had lots of phone calls, as well as company.  My dad's been taking care of stuff as well.  Hearing from me cheers them both up. 

I'm just glad it wasn't anything seriously serious, if ya know what I mean.
