Ok, I got a little more info. He went Monday night to Kaiser for severe headaches and vomiting. They did an MRI. The results of the MRI were he has 5 new tumors and the growth rate is extreme. They immediately discontinued all cancer treatments and are just making him comfortable at this point. Per Dana's request, they sent him home via ambulance Wednesday.  Hospice was setup later that night. He has allot of family and friends with him. His church has been there singing praise songs beside his bed. He is in and out of consciousness and sometimes blurts out something funny and off the wall, and sometimes little tidbits of wisdom for the kids. Those of us fortunate enough to know Brian's unique sense of humor should get a little teary eyed smile from that.

I hope I don't sound blunt or uncaring. I love Brian and his family. Just, at this point it seems all that can be done is to make him comfortable till he goes to heaven, or a miracle occurs.

I know the Cancer fund has been started here and I know firsthand that times are tough financially for them now.  So as it has been stated before by others, if you feel led to give then please do so.

Thanks,
Scott

Thanks. If there are any specific needs, please let us know. We do really well as a community when we have specific goals and not so well on general ones Wink Beyond that, just remind Dana that the donations are going to Brian's paypal account.

This really hurts...more than I can express...Brian's such a huge part of Tastyfresh and has helped or inspired most of us on here in some form or fashion..and he has ticked a lot of people off on here as well...including me  Smiley  .  He has personally given me advice....constructive criticism...praise and friendship.  I am still praying for a miracle with him whether or not that includes complete healing or not...when God gains glory from this situation...that's when it's miraculous.  While we will all miss him here incredibly...he won't miss us one bit...he'll be with our Father in heaven...a place where where even the tiniest piece of creation yearns to be.

Brian, we love you brother...and will continue to pray for you and your family.  God is faithful...even through this storm.  I praise God for your life, friendship, testimony and your contributions to this community.  Even though we've never met in person, your friendship through tastyfresh has meant so much to me.  If God decides to bring you home, then we will continue to praise Him for keeping His promise that He made to you when you first believed!!!

We love you man!

Hey all,

This is Daniel.  Brian's old friend and partner from the Prophecy of panic days.  I haven't posted or participated here in a few years.  I know that you all have been praying for him and helping his family in these troubled times.  I thought I'd drop in and give you all an update.

I just got off the phone with Dana, Brian's wife, a little while ago.  I do not have the best of news for you all.  Since last Monday, Brian has been on IV morphine.  This is a good thing, as before that point he was in severe pain.  I was visiting with him Monday afternoon before he was given medicine for the pain, and he was suffering greatly.  Brian was taken to the hospital by his family and I stayed back to watch the children.  Since then, he has been in discomfort, but not suffering as he was.  I am afraid this may be the only good news I have.

Brian's organs are shutting down.  As the tumor expands, it is pushing on area's of the brain responsible for keeping his body running.  Soon, barring an eleventh hour miracle, Brian will enter a coma and his organs will slowly cease working.  A few days ago, the doctor's gave him a few weeks, but Dana and I both agree that he will probably not make it that long.  I will be going to visit him tomorrow night, probably to pay my last respects.

I'd like to ask all of you who have been diligently praying for our brother to continue to do so, and especially to pray for his family.  My prayers have been for a miracle... either a miraculous recovery or for the miracle of his passing without much suffering.  I'm sure Brian would, if he could speak, want everyone to know that he is about to receive the blessing every believer hopes and prays for.  His spirit is leaving this earth, but he is not leaving us.  His suffering will not go unrewarded.

Some of you who know Brian and live in the area expressed interest in going to visit him.  I will check for pm's tonight and tomorrow before I go to visit in the evening.  I do not know if and how many visitors Dana would want, but I will gladly ask for any of you who would like to visit.  He has enjoyed having visitors very much... I just don't know how coherent he will be.  I'd also like to personally thank you all, many of whom I know, for your prayers and support.  It means a lot to him and his family.  As I know more, I will post so everyone can be up to date on what to pray for.

God bless you all,

Thanks Daniel. BTW, welcome back. I've missed you.

Again, let us know if there are any specific needs beyond prayer that we can take care of.

We spent the day today with Brian and Dana. I told Brian that I had been on here and was keeping you guys updated on his progress. I don't know if he heard or understood me but I think he did. I also conveyed your continuing Love and prayer support to him.
I asked Dana if she wanted me to post anything specific. She said "Yes, Please share about the healing that has occurred". You all know that Brian got a Word from The Lord that he would be healed. He truly believed it and so do we. However, God's amazing and perfect plans are not always what we think they should be. Brian has been miraculously healed, just not physically. He was healed spiritually. Which Paul the Apostle would confirm, is a far more precious healing. Brian has been transformed into the man of God that our Father in Heaven meant for him to be. The kind of man we should all strive to be but fall short. The kind of man that puts the needs and cares of others before his own. The kind of man that honors and loves his wife second to only Christ himself. The kind of man that makes a simple day at the park with his kids a priority over the busyness of our daily lives that would steal such moments away from us. You all saw his Faith grow as this ordeal unfolded. He has inspired old and new Christians alike to strive for a higher level of our relationship with Jesus. Although Brian may go be with the Lord because of this, he still received healing. Praise God!!!
God's plan is still unfolding and is becoming more and more miraculous as the days go on.

I wanted to share a moment I had with Brian tonight. Through most of the day he was, what seems to be, asleep. He occasionally wakes and mumbles, his eyes don't focus on anything and it just doesn't seem to be Brian anymore. I talked to him and tried to be helpful as much as I could. But just as we were about to leave and say goodbye, he woke up a little. Dana got him some water and asked him if he wanted some apple sauce to eat. We sat him up in his bed and he seemed to become more alert. He asked who was here, and Dana told him the Howey's (us) were there with him. He asked if he and his family had been treating us well (still thinking of others before himself). I assured him we were being treated great and we were good friends. As we all told him goodbye he said "goodbye" to us but then he started to move his right hand up a little. I reached down and shook his hand gently, he smiled and said "drive home safe", I said "I will" and he winked and smiled at me. My heart filled with joy, I am so thankful to God for that moment. I will treasure it.

Brian told me to "drive home safe"... I know Brian too will "drive home safe". Too our TRUE HOME, in the arms of Jesus.  All of us who enjoy the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ will too, someday... "Drive Home Safe".

God Bless you all,
Scott
