Wink why would anyone leave thier church if someone got caught for their sin. No one is exempt from it, its just that some of us are better at hiding it than others. The Bible also says that our sins can find us out, I guess that means if we continue to do w/e that is, it will bite us in the rear end. What we sow is what we will reap, both good and bad. King Davids is a perfect example of that, but he repented, no one is perfect, and alot of the time I think we as Christians forget where we came from, and have forgotten what "Grace" really mean and does for us in our daily life. G-d lets the sun rise and go down on both the righteous and the unrighteous. The Bishop Gene Robinson is obviously deceived, and LOL, prolly never read the book of Romans, or Leviticus. Should Gene repent?, the answer is YES!

I'm sure he's read Romans and Leviticus.

Getting back to the clip It is a shame that he didn't get to say his piece However the slow clapping suggests that it was a deliberately coordinated thing designed to inturrupt an act of worship which I am not happy about either. So I cant win either way!!

Yeah it's weird that slow clapping, I don't know if it's supposed to shut the guy up or they are doing it to join in?

Being a Brit, and knowing the "older" people over here, I think it was to shut him up.

We had a "celebration" of the car a few years back, Coventry has lots of associations with the motor industry, a bit like Detroit in the US.

Anyway, they had this service in Coventry Cathedral to celebrate the car, they drove lots of classic cars up the aisle. There was a woman in the congregation who'd gone there to protest about driving cars in a church. In the middle of the service she walked to the front and dropped her coat on the floor.

Underneath she was NAKED. Embarrassed

It was rude. It just was. Protests like that should be held outside. One person's right to freedom of speech does not mean that he can clamp down on others.

It doesn't matter if it was a church service or not.

OK... you know what's happening here, we're venturing into Rule #3 here. Bring it back away from that.

It's unbelievable what the green squad will do to make a point

As far as credentials go, they have about as little as the people they are protesting about

ANYhow.....

...getting back to the video. The question here is, is that an effective form of protest?

I personally think it's ill advised and that the kid came off like an idiot.

I'm surprised at so many people cheering this guy on.  I'm positive you wouldn't want gay protestors walking into your church and yelling "love is love!" in the middle of a sermon.  I"m sure many of you are apalled when you see a conservative speaker get heckled off the stage or even assaulted at a college lecture hall.

If we want people to show us respect, we have to show them respect,no matter how much we disagree with them

heh..thanks carey.

I often wonder what people think of my posts of this nature (when i disagree with the majority) because they rarely seem to reply to them.   I honestly don't mind a difference of opinion, and don't mind being pointed out that I'm in the wrong.  I may disagree, but i'm WAYYYYY past the point of holding a grudge over a little thing like a disagreement on ther interweb.
