You're thinking "Oh, this'll be good!" Wink

Short Version
I want to go on the record as saying I have come around to the fact that Tastyfresh.com isn't the place for spiritual discussions.

Long Version
I believe spirituality is an important part of being a Christian. Possibly the most important part, seeing as without spirit, we're nothing. I believe Tastyfresh is a part of the body of Christ, and as such spiritual discussions are important for us to have. But I have been convicted that my approach and my attitude here has been wrong. I became a member of the TF community on the previous boards (circa 2002/03, I think). Since then, I have fallen in love with this community and these people. Since then, I have also strongly disagreed with the ban on spiritual discussions when not related to dance music  (forum guideline no. 3). I have made that known to people like Dave and Cindy, I have argued, and I have participated in many spiritual discussions on these boards, that didn't relate to dance music.

Whether you have agreed with the conversations I've started, or feel that TF should have spiritual discussions, or not... I have realised that my own attitude regarding this was wrong.  What I should have done, is come under the leadership here, and supported them. Regardless of my disagreement, I should have submitted to the authority of Dave and the other mods, and the community as a whole (who agreed collectively on the establishment of the rules).  For not doing that, I am sorry. To Dave especially (who most of my arguments have been with), to Cindy as well, to Brandon, and to the entire community who agreed to the establishment of the rules and to be bound by them when you signed up, I am sorry for not aligning myself with you, and for not respecting your authority. I humbly ask for your forgiveness.

Going forward, you will not see me discuss spiritual topics here if they don't relate to dance music. I will be discussing those things, among others, at assemblyofgroove.com. If you do see me discussing things here that I have said I won't, as brothers and sisters in the Lord I encourage you to remind me of this.

I still believe it is important for those members of the community of Tastyfresh who want to have spiritual discussions, to be able to have them. For whatever reason, likely because I know most of you ONLY through this medium, it didn't occur to me until recently that the community of TF can go (and does go) much beyond tastyfresh.com

That is the heart of Eric's move to setup a sister board, for spiritual discussions. We have spoken about it a lot, and the intention is in no way to supplant or replace this community, rather to supplement it. To provide an outlet, to lighten the load, even, for those members of THIS community, who do wish to discuss spiritual things. I should have taken the initiative a long time ago to do what Eric has done, rather than to be a pain in the side of the mods and the community, which is what I have done. (Whether I was personally a pain to you or not, the point is my attitude was wrong, and I have not been respecting authority. Whether you think I have been respectful or not, the Lord has convicted me that I haven't been.)

So, that's about it. I am actively going to work to come under the authority of this community, as it relates to what we can and can't discuss, for the focus and betterment of tastyfresh.com (still THE website for Christians who love dance music).  For not seeing things this way sooner, I am sorry.

I had a separate site set up for this purpose for a while.  Most people behaved pretty well.

Cindy, aside from honouring the rules I agreed to, and honouring you guys as you keep those rules, and praying for you all, what else practically would you like to see?

That was pretty much what I was looking for.
