I think the capacity in that room is 300. There is a much larger theatre that holds over 1000 in this building.

If someone ever charged you with being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? I am Kevin Oneel's Funcle. www.myspace.com/djalexlaine

I mentioned it in the prayer thread, but yeah....basically what you see in the pictures with the lights is about it. Only friends and family of the staff and DJ's showed and I think that totaled about 30. It was a loss.

As far as Cali things are still in the works. The building we were going to get ended up not being agood deal after weighing all the options. The facility had some major problems with the bathrooms and they were moving soon so we would have been in a bad position. I have been apart of many raves out here and almost everyone flopped. We did an event called Dunamis and it pulled in close to 200 people. AJ, myself and another dj spinned plus we had 1 hip-hop act Fros-T and and another group. I was part of a monthly singles dance and it packed 400 people every month! It was an older crowd. Average age was I bet 45 with a few younger adults. The music mix is what I didnt like. 3 dj's. I spun the dance music (3 songs). Then it went to 3 country with a line dance instructor then another dj spun oldies. Will there ever be one in California. I bet if there was one in cali, it would have a grip of peeps. I know i would be there for sho.

Definitely been there. At least twice that i can remember. Throwing/promoting parties is hard, especially Christian dance related events. What kind of facility was it in? A theater hall, a church, warehouse.... ?

It's Kansas City's old Youth For Christ facility (they now call themselves YouthFront). It is a combination of things, including this room designed for taping TV shows, etc. and the larger auditorium used for plays and conferences.

One more question then (sorry i'm just curious). Was it marketed/promoted as a Christian event? Or just promoted like a rave for anybody? What was the focus/direction of the promotion?

yes it was marketed as a Christ-centered event. most of the promotion was done via flyers and it promoted this as a Christian event with the name and address of this Christian facility. BTW, the flyers looked like any other rave flyer. They looked very good.
