So tonight I was looking for loops and came across a website called samplebase and a producer called midihead. His stuff blew me away, so I checked out his site. He's done work for a LOT of people including remixes for The Echoing Green.

I emailed him about sampling some of his stuff for Cast The Fire. I hope he says yes!

if it's the same dude i'm thinking of, his name is greg & he used to be fairly active over at flaming fish.  maybe dig around there for his older stuff?  think he did remix several tracks for some bands there... and we both had tracks on a bonus remix CD for Crackerboy by Cult of Jester.  smiley8

it very well could be. He did remixes for Echoing Green and his "sound" is that basic Flaming Fish catalog sound.

He's also known as Monolithic. I remember first hearing his music on Electric Circus 2.0 with Rish DeeJaying.

Yes, better known as Monolithic. He does very bombastic, maxed-out synthpop. I like a lot of his stuff.
