I did not like this movie.

It started out OK, then went downhill pretty fast.

I totally missed that it was even coming out.

I have off the next 2 days. Maybe I'll go see it.

I saw it this weekend, and it was OK, nothing amazing, but decent.  I think I want it to be as good as the Lord of the Rings series, but they are trying to stay somewhat in the kids vein I think with these films.  Overall it was done well, but for me this series lacks the intensity that I liked so much in the LOTR flicks.  I still like to support films that stem from authors like CS Lewis, and I was somewhat entertained for a few hours...

That's right, but they do have a different feel to them, and Peter Jackson's directing obviously lent them a certain way. And LOTR is more adult than the Hobbit. Anyone read Children of Hurin yet? Word is that's not for children.

The dialog / screenplay was horrid and awkward.  The movie had no rhythm or flow, it was chunked up way too much.  I felt it was a bit more adult oriented than the last one but then they had to throw that shitty vocal track at the end of the movie and have that "unneeded love tension"  between Susan and Caspian, what a bunch of bull that was.  Please try to sell me something a bit more believable, stick the story and keep it simple.

I burst out laughing so many times watching this movie, and the funny thing is its the Narnia story i remember the least and it took everything I could muster not to mock that movie up and down while I was in the theater.   In fact there were a few times when I knew something cheesy was about to happen and I buried my face in my hands in disgust.

1/2 a star from me.  I won't recommend it to anyone and that stupid director/screenwriter should quit and do something else because he is completely ruining the stories.

Who knows, maybe by the time the Silver Chair comes around Puddleglum will be a giant bear that awkwardly mumbles "Aslan" in a drunken voice at inopportune times, but hey this is Disney, their track record right now is crap.

wow... pretty harsh review. i understand most of your complaints, but i think overall i still really liked it. then again, i'm a person who has never read the books, and honestly has no idea what happens in the story... maybe thats why i liked it?

i do wish it was made by someone other then disney though... and even though this is a kids story i wish there was some gore in it during the battle scenes. i know it would lose it's pg rating, but i just hate it when violence is un-realistic because there is like no blood.

Yeah the song at the end was super funny, and irritating actually.  The fight scenes always stink in those movies really, PG means nothing realistic, unfortunately.  I guess I'll just wait for the Hobbit now.

The more I think about it, the less I like the film. Joel, you're pretty close.

As far as Disney goes, I wonder how much of a hand they really had in it. Walden Media filmed it, Disney just distributed it.

it still smells like disney though.   there are at least two castle w/ fireworks scenes in the movie that look almost identical to the disney intros for tv lol.

LOL Yes! I knew I wasn't alone. I wanted to run out of the theater to escape. Worst song choice evar!

This movie has disney written all over it. More-so than the first movie in my opinion.

This movie twisted/added to the original book a lot! (Prince caspian was my fav. of the 3 books)

I would give it a 2/5!
