It might be possible with the VCI-300 but maybe not in its first release.
The VCI-300 is designed to work with serato.

I have hoping that it would be possible from the first release!

Lets see!

Is that for ever? I mean it must be possible that it might become a future release?

I don't know.  I will try to find that out.  I like Vestax products and have had no problems with SSL.  But I don't want to spend the money on the VCI 300 if there is no possibility of DJing and VJing with it.  Can you control both the video and audio with the mixvibes software using the VCI 100?  I saw one bundled with the mixvibes software for around 700 dollars.

I dont know about mixvibes. As its only pc based and im mac based.

The other options is cue and total controll? I want to have another go on it as have only used it briefly at a DJ equipment show..
Total controll would set you back also abotu $600?

Like you im favouring the VCI 300.

Total control is only $250 in the states, but I believe it doesn't come with a full version of Cue and you will still need an audio card. Cue is just a branded version of Virtual DJ.
