I am slowly starting to transition back to eating. I started with tea, then hot chocolate. Tonight I'm gonna have some pudding. Do me a huge favor and pray for my tongue and my throat. Those both still hurt quite a bit from the radiation. It literally takes me two or three swallows before my throat eases up on the pain. I want to be ready to scarf down some Cinco De Mayo grubbage! NOW IS THE TIME TO PRAY!   Cool

I have moved up to cream soups and hot breakfast cereals (aka grits, oatmeal, etc). I tried soup with "stuff" in it like potato, but my tongue is still too sore to move that around. Honestly, my tongue is the only thing keeping me from going out and getting real food.

Pray for my tongue!

I am hoping to be back to normal food in about a week so I can have my feeding tube removed.

Pray for my tongue!

Usually I pray that God tames my tongue, but it is obviously not my physical tongue that's the issue! It's great to hear things are getting better for you bro, praying for you often.

well, I had a coupon for a free burger at Hardees so I figured Id give it a try. wow that was a mistake. I did not realise how sore my throat still is. I knew it was still irritated, but it did not enjoy passing that bite from the burger. so yeah Im bummed. that burger tasted so good, but one bite in and I was denied. I had to throw it away.  oh and yeah, my tongue still hurt as well, but the worst was my throat.
