On this note, (I know I was kinda joking, however) I have had to lose work as a result of being sick from the treatments and the feeding tube. I know many of you are giving to Brian's fund, but if you have some left over, I could use the help. My work is figuring out how they can help me with short term disability, but that will only be a small percent of what I make and only if I plan to lose at least 14 days. Basically, short term disability will be no help.

I am feeling better today. I made myself come to work.I was able to eat a full meal finally after three days of not being able to eat and/or puking it back up. I have a bad headache for some reason. I am still heavily medicated with pain killers and anti nausea meds. I hope to see something look up within the next few days.  All I know right now is pain, and  fatigue.

I am very sorry for complaining. I wish I could have the spiritual positive outlook that Brian had. Inside I know my future is secure, but my carnal nature is a big baby that hates every bit of this.

Dude... nothin' wrong with what you said. You just have a VERY tough act to follow. Look at it this way, you've posted a LOT more than Brian has through all of this.

Update on the tube: the doctor can't find anything wrong with it and doesn't see where the pain is coming from. He is hesitant to remove it because I will have trouble swallowing somewhere down the line due to the radiation. I am begging him to remove it, but he wants to first find out why it is hurting me so bad. Long story short, I am very short tempered right now.

I officially have no taste buds.  I HAVE NO TASTE  BUDS!

I got some General Cho (or whatever it's called) Chicken, pepper beef, and fried noodles with a BIG chicken egg roll yesterday for lunch. I couldn't finish. Everything tasted the same because everything tasted like ______________. Fill in the blank, it doesn't matter. Whatever you throw on that blank, I wouldn't be able to taste it.

I have been doing some research online and apparently my tasters won't come back for at least 6 months after my radiation is done. I have been trying different foods to see what is tolerable. Nothing...NOTHING!!!

here we go ... first post ... shed those first post jitters! 404, my deepest prayers are with you all the way, for your complete healing and for God's comfort to be with you and your wife during this time. Thanks to you, and all the amazing supporters on the TF forum, for being such an inspiration to me personally . My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in January and around the same time I stumbled upon TF looking for what's happening in the Christian EDM scene. Since then, I've probably read more posts on cancer than EDM. Go figure. 404's and Brian's stories have spoke to me and been great examples of faith during a difficult time ... so thanks! I'm happy to say my mom's first surgery indicated that the cancer hasn't spread, but this will verified next Friday by the pathology report so we're still praying (and won't stop then either!).
