Here is the deal,

you don't know the crowd but are expected to slam them hard from 12:30 to 1:30

you do know they like a mix of new and not so new housey/prog/tribal tracks

they are use to hearing mid 120's to upper 130's

the monitors suck

the gig pays cash and you would like to be asked back

you can only bring 20 tracks

what r they?

HEY! I made Oneel's cut. I'll have to come up with my list. Included on that would be something from the Stereo Productions label, something by Lovesky (Probably a very old one like Drums for Better Daze on Hooj - now on beatport), probably something from South Records, Hear the Drums (Van Lazaruz 220 Remix) - Dave Richards, Born Again (Dave Richard's Tastyfresh Mix) - Cristian Paduraru for early in the set and who knows. That's at least what I would do with the tribal end of things.

Tough question . . . In a Dutch context I'd hope they had allready a bit beer.

I'd start with a nice Lamb rmx, some Joris Voorn, Charles Webster, AME and try to get them into more tech/minimal. (I don't have progressive and Tribal). If it didn't work . . than it's not the right place for me . . . So I won't feel sorry for not coming back.

this is great. I am unfamiliar with 8 out of 10 tracks being posted. I just finished playing. Serato won't export song lists but I will transcribe the house stuff I played tonight. I would love to know how much of it is familiar to you guys and gals. I have to play mostly hip hop at the residency I have - ewee. I play from 9-2 and only play about 1 hour of house, usually after 12:30.

Unfortunately,  that seems to be the case 9 out of 10 times across the country when you're talking about a residency.  I used to be a monthly resident at Crobar in Miami back several years ago,  playing Trance/House...Now they pretty much do rap.  I think I throw up a little every time I hear soeone talk about club music,  and they're actually talking about rap.

Hang in there mate!  It'll get better!
