I love happy  hardcore.  Could any of you come up with a old and new Christ friendly top 10 or 20?

well its too fast for hard trance, and isn't techno, what else could it be?  Free Like the Wind is like insane. Cool

Happy Hardcore has the same energy and kicks as Hardcore, but it has a cheesy factor to it. Pianos, chipmunk voices, sampling 80's songs at twice thier intended speed. When you hear Happy Hardcore, you know it.

Ultrabeat did his own thing. Part trance, Part techno, part unable to give it a genre. He had trance sounds in track that were 120bpm. He had other tracks that were 160 bom, but they were far from Happy hardcore. Just really fast trance stuff.

thus a major problem that ultrabeat had. It didn't mix into much of anything Smiley

there was that DBA remix...   was it 3D 2002 (The One Mix)  ??  I can't remember ... but it was pretty much straight out of the Happy Hardcore template. :-)

Most happy hardcore doesn't have much in the way of objectionable lyrical content, unless you stumble over vague drug references...

I'm more of a fan of the older stuff before it went "all anthems, all the time."  The piano breakdowns, the staccato synth stabs, that stuff was top notch.  None of this "heart of gold" or "shooting star" business.

Of course there is the general Happy to be Hardcore Series - In particular number 7 I happen to have and the stuff is pretty clean from what I remember except the last track on this album which references drug use.

Anywaz...just my two cents
