hmmm... I love my triggerfinger. More knobs and sliders on it would be nice though. What are you going to use it for though?

Alright Lee, both look a bit plasticy to me, my mate has a similar MAudio controller and it's horrible, it's very plasticy so I say check em both out in the flesh or (plastic) before commiting to buy

the only negative thing I can say about the triggerfinger is that the caps on the sliders come off. A bit of glue can fix that.

As far as it being sturdy enough... Stryke takes it with him to every gig and says it's one of his favorite pieces of gear. Both his and mine survived the dust at cstone this year.

Thanks

I suppose the main reason i ask is that the trigger finger has been round a bit longer and is very popular. I knew that u had got one dave but i think the akai hasnt been out long.

Am going to bpm this weekend in leicster so will hopefully get to see the akai even have ago. Dont suppose your planing on going, paul?

being one that owns a Akai MPC2000XL. if the MPD24 is anything like the pads and knobs on mine, they're sturdy.

Kinda glad, you brought this up, forgot Akai made that, after reading some, might fit my application better.  Which is using it with Pro Tools and then with Live and I'm use to the Akai.

You'll be happy with that one.

Was it just the price break that sealed the deal?

That and the fact that they dindt have the akai in stock and both m-audio and the Guys in the store said that m-audio get the pads from akai so its effectivley the same controller.

The same controller minus a few knobs and sliders. But yeah, the trigger finger won't do you   wrong. Just glue down those sliders!

GLUE IT IS THEN!

The first time i plugged in it in to ableton the transpose fader started controlling the master volume. Not sure why as i hadnt assigned it to do that. I started up ableton today and the transpose no longer controlls the master. Im keeping wtih my uC33 for channel fades.

I found a deal, Battery 3 and MPD24 for about $125 then if I bought them separate.  Plus Akai, you have 16 pads x4 Banks to boot.
