Traktor 3 Tutorial DVD
«

I ordered it last week, just got it yesterday, watched all 3 hours... mostly basic stuff but they do get into quite some advanced stuff with it too... having watched it I am actually mostly using traktor now over ableton... works well for me when I am djing switching between hiphop and edm and back and forth plus now that I actually understand how to use the cue jumping, looping, effects, and beatgrids properly, everything I was doing with ableton, I can do in traktor! lol
only thing really missing is sending out midi to outboard things or vsts... but there's rumors brewing that VST support is coming in 3.3 (either traktor will be vst-able or allow you to use vsts...)

Deckadance has vst support. But yeah... traktor is probably a much better product. BTW, from everything I've heard... 4.0 is next not 3.3.

Chris, thanks for the brief review. I was already planning to get the DVD sometime soon, but it's good to hear what you thought of it.

Two people drift in a lifeboat. One says, "I see an island. Our best chance is to go ashore, build a shelter, and await rescue." The others says, "No, we must go farther out to sea and hope to find the shipping lanes." Unable to agree, the two fight, the lifeboat capsizes, and they drown.

quote from their site

TRAKTOR 3 compatibility:
If you like to use vinyl or CD control to mix with the even more powerful TRAKTOR 3 software, you can upgrade to TRAKTOR 3 at a special price. Please note that full compatibility will be provided with the upcoming TRAKTOR 3.3 update (September 2007).
course both could be right and Traktor 4 will be out soon also.

Basically, yes it does have something similar to warp markers and auto warping.
It's an interface issue though. Use which ever you interface better with.

yeah you set beat markers which work much like the warp markers in ableton...
I prefer traktor when I am mixing a variety of styles of music especially hiphop because I can do more hiphop style cuts and mixes (and if I get the vestax vci-100 scratching
)
