Money is no issue for me.... it's all about quality... not quantity....  Wink

nothing wrong with using vinyl.  it's got a nice feel to it.

for me it's about $$$ for vinyl!  $12 for a single track or $1...hmm.....

:-)

PS: many people don't even use CDs any more.  they use abelton live...
That is where I'm at, I use a bit of vinyl, but going over to cd/mp3/wav.

one more thing to consider: since I DJ so much and am in different venues with different equipment, i like the CD format.  Its standard in clubs now, and  I really don't want to bring a $3k computer into a smokey bar where drunks are (ready to spill drinks on your equipment).

something I hadn't thought about.  PC gets broke, you're screwed.

Drunks are a concern everywhere. They could drop their drink on the club's system as well as your PC and you'd be screwed for the night. If you are really concerned, wrap your PC in contact paper. Wink

I switched over to Final Scratch a couple of years ago.  I haven't bought real vinyl in over a year now.
